Carter-Ruck’s head of International Law and Sanctions expert Guy Martin provides an article and expert commentary for the December 2018 WorldECR Special Report (A World of Change). Guy’s article, “Time to get to know the UK’s Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018”, looks at the UK’s struggles in preparing for Brexit, with one key piece of legislation already in place and plugging a gap previously filled by EU law, the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (‘the Act’) which received Royal Assent on 23 May.
