Persephone Bridgman Baker, Helena Shipman and Katherine Hooley hosted the seventh in a series of Women Who Inspire Networking breakfasts with renowned journalist Samantha McAlister as the guest speaker.

Sam is a former barrister, BAFTA-nominated television producer for Newsnight and now author, best known for securing an interview with Prince Andrew for BBC Newsnight which gained worldwide attention.

Sam spoke about her experiences as a woman in journalism and the journey that led to the Prince Andrew interview; her experience of which formed part of her book and has now been dramatised and is about to be released by Netflix under the title ‘Scoop’ with Sam being played by Billie Piper.

The WWI series enables professional women at similar stages of their careers to meet and engage on topical issues and hear from inspiring industry-leading experts at the top of their field who provide thought-providing, insightful and pragmatic discussions.
